Easter Egg FHE

With a toddler, FHE {Family Home Evening} can be…tricky.  Knowing my daughter’s love of listening to stories I planned a simple and spiritual FHE.

Here’s how it goes!

Preparation: Hard-boil 8 eggs and write the following words {one word per egg} in white crayon.  Sacrament, Atonement, Betrayal, Trial, Scourged, Crucifixion, Burial, & Resurrection.

Tell everyone that as we dye these eggs, words will appear that will help us tell the Easter story.  The idea is that person who dyes a certain egg will tell that part of the story at the right time.

Once all the eggs are dyed, use the pictures below to display while each part of the story is told.  If you want some extra help with the details of the story see Matthew 26-28, Mark 14-16, Luke 22-24, & John 18-20.

We used the pictures on the iPad {or you can print them out}.  All pictures can be found here.

This is a fun way to share the Easter story and see what your family remembers and thinks are significant parts of these events.
