Faith · Family · Food · Fun

This past weekend we traveled up north to support and celebrate my niece {A-Girl} as she made the choice to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

First of all, I can’t believe she’s already 8! I still vividly remember a snowy day in April when I got a text from my brother with a sweet picture of her little self in the hospital. I loved her immediately and that love has only grown.

A couple of years ago, John and I got to babysit {A-Girl} and her older brother {who I also adore} for about a week. It was FUN. I got to know a side of them that only comes with spending 24+ hours straight with someone.

I love {A-Girl}’s sweet face and tender heart. She’s so smart and kind.

Baptism is the first saving ordinance of the gospel. When we make this commitment and these covenants, we are truly beginning our journey back to living with Heavenly Father again. I know this to be true.

Watching her Dad/my brother baptize her filled the room and my heart with the Holy Ghost. These events feed my faith and testify to me again that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

I’m so proud of you {A-Girl}! You are a beautiful Daughter of God. I pray you never forget this day!
