Weekend with Friends

Last weekend two of my best friends from high school came to our little town to visit!

It was fun to be with them {we haven’t been altogether for a couple years}. They stayed at our house and I got to practice my hostess skills by preparing the guest bath and bedroom and planning out our meals and most of our activities.

They arrived Thursday night and we welcomed them with enchiladas, chips & salsa, and lots of hugs!

On Friday we slept in and then had German pancakes for breakfast. We watched Julie & Julia before heading out on our tour of the town! We went to John’s work, drove down Main Street, looked at the windmills, stopped by the town visitor’s center {an old train caboose}, got snow cones, and then drove home. We all napped and then had Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole for dinner. {E} loved having them around! {More people to adore and entertain her!}

On Saturday we three girls left John and {E} at home while we drove to St. George! We got pedicures, ate Thai food for linner {lunch/dinner}, went to see The Jungle Book, got a treat at Swig, and then went to the mall.

On the drive home we rocked out to music like we were in high school again!  We sang Disney songs, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Pat Benatar, Pink, & Savage Garden. When we got  home we watched Ever After. Classic chick flick!

It was so much fun to kind of travel through time and have a fun weekend with these sweet girls!  I can’t wait for them to come back!
