{30 Things} My Sweet Children Should Know About Me
Day 13 – What’s the hardest part of growing up?

I believe the hardest part of growing up is living true to the things you know to be right and good.
As children we are taught right from wrong and good from bad. My parents did a great job in making sure I knew the WHY behind making choices: your choices dictate where you go in life. So if we choose good, our life has to be good. Maybe this isn’t true all of the time because LIFE IS HARD. Especially when you are moving to the part of your life where you have more responsibilities! When it gets hard it can be extremely easy to choose the easy way, the lazy way, the bad way. You can choose to stay up until 2 AM watching Netflix and eating a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey {speaking from experience} or you can say your prayers, read your scriptures, and go to bed at a decent hour.
Everyone is faced with choices everyday. But when you’re growing up, what you decide to do has a greater effect on YOU and just as important {if not more so} your family. It’s difficult to will yourself to do the right thing day in and day out, but it’s called being a grown up.
